Food Relief & Kurban Offerings

The key programs within food relief and kurban offerings for Muslim charities in Uganda are:

  1. Food Relief Packages:
    Charities distribute essential food items like rice, beans, flour, cooking oil, and dates to vulnerable families, especially during Ramadan, ensuring they can break their fast and meet their nutritional needs.

  2. Kurban (Sacrifice) Meat Distribution:
    During Eid, charities organize the slaughter of animals such as goats, sheep, or cows. The meat is then distributed to those in need, allowing the less fortunate to celebrate Eid with meat and partake in the festive spirit.

  3. Community-Based Distribution:
    Local mosques, community leaders, and volunteers coordinate the distribution efforts, ensuring the aid reaches the most vulnerable groups, such as orphans, widows, and the elderly.

Water Wells & Sanitation

  1. Drilling Water Wells:
    Providing clean, safe drinking water to communities by drilling wells in areas with limited access. Donations support the cost of drilling, installation, and maintenance of these wells.
